About the role:

Your responsibilities will include:

  • To contact and generate appointments with prospective local companies for the purpose of profiling their company car and developing opportunities for Steven Eagell Toyota
  • To build and maintain an accurate database of customers’ requirements using Toyota Fleet Portal, including but not limited to, acquisition methods, annual volumes, brands represented, maintenance and servicing
  • To raise the Steven Eagell profile and its standing in local business customers’ perception, and thus increase the likelihood of sustained profitable business

Sales and Marketing:

  • Prospect local businesses by telephone, mail, e-mail and face to face, using database and other conquest and new sources of data
  • Generate and attend local business appointments with a structured agenda and specific objectives
  • Complete and update company fleet profiles for each local business appointment with both existing and prospect companies on Fleet Portal.
  • Develop commercial awareness of local/regional business groups and attend networking and promotional events and meeting to promote Toyota and Steven Eagell
  • Seek innovative ways to promote Steven Eagell, its products and services and optimise positive local business awareness of the dealership.
  • Ensure that any electronic information such as e-mail links and website data is accurate, up to date and in compliance with statutory legislation. Ensure that data is held in the manner required by the Data Protection Acts

Customer Relations:

  • Ensure on-going local business customer satisfaction and awareness of current offers
  • Respond to any local business customer concerns and or shortfalls in expected levels of performance, escalating issues as appropriate with senior Centre personnel
  • Ensure personal conduct is commensurate with the principles and ethics of Steven Eagell Toyota


  • Seek and deliver opportunities to the dealership for local business sales of:
  • New Cars
  • Vehicle servicing
  • Affinity programmes
  • Work with dealership staff and management to ensure agreed actions for the customers is fulfilled

Training and Knowledge:

  • Manufacturer product knowledge and awareness
  • Complete Toyota Bronze accreditation
  • Finance products – funding options
  • Taxable benefits – (and confidently use Toyota Car Tax Calculator and Tax apps)
  • CRM – Toyota Fleet Portal
  • Duty of care legislation/safety
  • Environmental/Green issues relevant to the Industry

Communication and Interaction:

  • Attend both Manufacturer and Dealership product launches and product training courses as necessary, to keep updated, particularly on new models, specifications and options as and when required
  • Ensure all local business customers are informed of new developments within Steven Eagell Toyota and any changes to legislation, relevant to both parties’ business relationship
  • Keep updated on competitors’ products, prices and specifications


  • Ensure that all documentation is processed quickly and accurately and stored safely and confidentially.
  • Provide information and reports to the Group Business Centre Manager routinely and on request and in a timely fashion meeting deadlines set.


  • Maintain an accurate log of expenses incurred, with a view to cost saving/value where ever possible.

Other Duties:

  • Any other duties as and when required by senior company managers that are reasonably within the capabilities of the person and are aimed at achieving the company’s objectives and goals.

Preferred Abilities, Experience, Qualifications & Training Profile:

  • Always prepared to work for the benefit of the Team, with the objective of been Best In Town.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with customers/prospects and internal team members and record all such interaction accurately.
  • Ability to confidently present face to face with customers and prospects.
  • Confident on the telephone with the ability to prospect and acquire new customers and arrange appointments.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to create opportunities within company policy.
  • Self-motivated with excellent time management skills, and able to personally organise diary in line with the requirements of the job.
  • Working Knowledge and understanding of the benefits of using a CRM system in Real Time updating instantly where possible.
  • Knowledge and experience of the B2B sector an advantage.
  • Knowledge and comprehension of vehicle funding methods, taxation and fiscal issues that any client company would need to consider when acquiring vehicles. Knowledge and experience in leasing/contract hire and contract maintenance (or prepared to learn).
  • Prepared to learn detailed knowledge and understanding of the features and benefits of owning Toyota/Lexus range of cars. Attendance of Brand Job Specific & product Training Courses within set time-frames mandatory.
  • Build strong working relationships with both internal & external customers with a goal of complete satisfaction.
  • Smart and well presented in appearance at all times.
